Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers about Flourishing Follicle consultations, trichology, scalp health, hair loss support, SMP, red light therapy, hair replacement, booking, and salon policies.

1. What is your deposit policy?

Deposits are required to secure appointments and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellations or rescheduling that fall outside the booking policy may require a new deposit before another appointment can be scheduled.

2. What is the policy for late arrivals?

A 10-minute grace period is allowed. After that, your appointment may be canceled and the full price of the scheduled service may be charged. This policy helps prevent scheduling conflicts and ensures fairness to all clients.

3. Do you accept walk-ins?

No. Flourishing Follicle operates by appointment only. All consultations and services must be scheduled in advance.

4. What happens if I book the wrong service?

If the wrong service is booked, there will be an additional $20 charge at the time of service. Please review your booking carefully or contact us for guidance if you are unsure which service to select. Add-ons cannot be booked alone and must accompany a primary service.

5. How do I book an appointment?

Appointments are booked online through StyleSeat. Select the consultation or service that best fits your needs and choose an available appointment time. If you are unsure what to book, start with a consultation.

6. Can I reschedule my appointment?

Yes. You may reschedule your appointment by signing into your booking account and editing your session. Your deposit will transfer to the new date. If you reschedule more than once, your appointment may be canceled and your deposit will not be refunded.

7. Do I need a consultation before choosing a service?

A consultation is recommended when you are experiencing hair loss, thinning, scalp concerns, are considering hair replacement, or are unsure which specialized service is appropriate. Some services may require a consultation before treatment or scheduling.

8. What happens during a hair and scalp consultation?

Your consultation begins with a conversation about your concerns, hair and scalp history, routine, lifestyle, and goals. Your hair and scalp may be evaluated to help identify appropriate next steps. Recommendations may include professional scalp care, home-care guidance, specialized services, hair replacement support, red light therapy, SMP, or referral to an appropriate healthcare professional when necessary.

9. What does Flourishing Follicle specialize in?

Flourishing Follicle specializes in clinical trichology consultations, hair loss and thinning support, scalp health, scalp micropigmentation, red light therapy, non-surgical hair replacement support, and personalized hair and scalp education.

10. What is the difference between a scalp-health service and a trichology consultation?

Scalp-health services focus on concerns such as dryness, buildup, excess oil, irritation, sensitivity, and maintaining a healthier scalp environment. A trichology consultation is more appropriate when concerns include increased shedding, thinning, changes in density, receding areas, breakage, unexplained hair changes, or concerns that may require a more comprehensive evaluation.

11. How do I know whether SMP is right for me?

Scalp micropigmentation may be considered for concerns such as the appearance of thinning areas, receding hairlines, reduced visible density, some scalp scars, or closely shaved styles. A consultation is used to discuss your goals, scalp, desired appearance, expectations, and candidacy before determining whether SMP is appropriate.

12. How do I know whether red light therapy is right for me?

Red light therapy may be incorporated into an individualized hair and scalp care plan when appropriate. During your consultation, we consider your concerns, goals, scalp, and overall care plan to determine whether red light therapy may be a suitable supportive option.

13. Do you provide wigs, cranial prostheses, or hair replacement units?

No. Clients provide their own hair replacement unit. Flourishing Follicle provides personalized consultation, fitting, adjustment, care guidance, and support for client-owned cranial prostheses, wigs, and other non-surgical hair replacement units.

14. What should I expect from a hair replacement consultation?

We begin by discussing your hair-loss experience, concerns, lifestyle, preferences, and desired appearance. You will receive guidance about appropriate hair replacement options, coverage, construction, maintenance, fit, and how your own unit may be personalized for comfort and appearance.

15. Do you treat or diagnose medical causes of hair loss?

Flourishing Follicle provides trichology-based education, hair and scalp evaluation, personalized guidance, and supportive services. We do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. When your concerns indicate that medical evaluation may be appropriate, referral to a qualified healthcare professional may be recommended.

16. Does Flourishing Follicle guarantee hair growth or restoration results?

No. Hair and scalp outcomes vary based on many individual factors. Flourishing Follicle does not guarantee hair growth, restoration, or specific treatment results.

Our focus is education, realistic expectations, personalized recommendations, appropriate supportive care, and helping you understand your options.

17. What if I am not sure which service to book?

Start with a consultation. We will discuss what you are experiencing, your goals, and your concerns and help you determine the most appropriate next step.
